There once was a little princess 
A sweet little lady you could guess 
As her birthday drew near, I want you to hear 
Of the birthday of the little princess

The King came, and the Queen came
And all the lords and the ladies came too
To wish her and greet her 
Many happy returns of the day 

Oh! what a lovely party 
So gay and hearty
Till nurse came and said 
It's high time for bed
